Clarifying the terminology – what is "SAP BI"
When SAP acquired Business Objects in 2008, they used the term "business intelligence" in two ways, referring to
- SAP NetWeaver BI
- SAP BusinessObjects BI
Inevitably this led to confusion, and so now whenSAP refer to BI it is in association with the SAP BusinessObjects product suite.
The term "SAP NetWeaver BI" is no longer used, instead SAP refer to
- SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP BW)
- SAP Business Explorer (SAP BEx)
- SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator (BWA)
